How can you straighten teeth?

Our in-house orthodontist Dr. Girgius has been providing orthodontic services for over 30 years. With his expertise, we can confirm exactly which treatment will work best for you, whether it’s traditional metal braces or Invisalign. While metal braces are not needed for every patient with crooked or gapped teeth, they are more effective in serious or more complicated cases. Both come with their own pros and cons that Dr. Girgius will go over in better detail.

Can I replace teeth in your dental office?

If you’ve decided to replace missing teeth, you’re doing the right thing for your oral health. Not only can we replace teeth via dental bridges and dentures, but we can place dental implants entirely in the dental office! Dr. Siu is trained to perform the treatment, while Dr. Siu will craft your natural-looking and long-lasting tooth replacement. Whether it’s a single implant-retained crown or a full denture, we’ll make sure that your smile looks and feels as natural as possible.

My jaw hurts. Do I need to see a specialist?
Chronic jaw pain is absolutely something that a dentist can resolve. Our dental office provides equilibration and occlusal adjustments as well as splints to reposition your jaw and reduce the cause of your chronic pain. By making subtle adjustments to your jaw’s position, we can reduce the harmful effects of nighttime grinding and clenching, the common side effects of bruxism. These treatments are also ideal for those suffering from temporomandibular joint disorder.
I’m having a dental emergency! What should I do?
Even if you are not currently a patient, we want to help you address your dental emergency. Start by calling our dental office to schedule a same-day appointment. Then, head to our emergency dental page to learn about treating and managing your emergency before you get to our dental office. Once you arrive, we’ll closely examine your mouth, confirm the cause of your dental emergency, then recommend treatment. Do not put off a dental emergency; you don’t want your tooth to worsen in condition!
Will my new restorations look natural?
Our dental office makes sure to utilize metal-free restorations when restoring or replacing teeth. Our dental fillings, crowns, veneers, bridges, and dentures are made from high-quality ceramic or resin materials that stand the test of time while still looking incredibly lifelike. Just make sure to practice daily oral care and visit our dental office every six months to ensure they stay in good condition for years to come. If you need a restoration that was placed by a previous dentist replaced, we’d be more than happy to accommodate you!
Do you see children?
Yes! The Dental People recommends patients of all ages. If your child has not had their first dental appointment completed, please bring them in for their first cleaning and exam. We also cater to children who have special needs, non-nutritive habits (i.e. thumb-sucking), or who are in need of pulp therapy. Our dental office is equipped with an advanced play area to make their dental visit all the more comfortable and accommodating.
How often should I visit?
Dental appointments should be made once every six months for cleanings and exams. These visits ensure that your at-home care is in order and that no underlying problems are present with your oral health. Your child should visit within six months of their first tooth erupting or by their first birthday. Routine visits also help you save money on restorative and emergency costs that inevitably appear as a result of missed visits.
